About Ari

Hello! My name is Ari. I'm a Harvard Ed.M. graduate, a current Teaching Fellow at Harvard College, and a former licensed public school math and English teacher, having taught in Wisconsin, Colorado, and Massachusetts. I specialize in English and writing, from college admissions essays to elementary phonemic awareness, as well as elementary and middle school math and science, using accessible design strategies.

From helping children understand the foundations of language and numbers to grading policy briefs and creative essays at Harvard College, I uplift students through pedagogy and strategies proven not only to produce high-quality work but also to change learners' mindsets, helping them develop identities as scholars through their own authentic voices and minds.

Specialities

My process begins by meeting students where they are, exploring their understandings of the content, and building upon it, tailoring lessons to target the areas they find most challenging, in the ways they learn best. I don’t believe in templates, robotic editing, or rote formulas. I help students build the skills to find the best version of their story and bring it to life.

Whether you're beginning test preparation, aiming for that "perfect score," or applying to your dream school, I work to help you achieve your goals.

I help students with:
• Applying to Ivy League and top-tier private schools
• ACT prep
• Building essay and writing skills to find your authentic voice and writing style
• Mastering Common Core K-8 math and science
• Strengthening reading and writing foundations
• Building skills and providing academic support for ADHD and Special Education students
