About Usha
I have been teaching Chemistry now for 37 years and I have had no breaks in my career! I have taught in the UK in both secondary schools and Further Education Colleges up to the age of 19+ and this includes adults as well as students ranging in age from 11 upwards.
The courses I have taught are GCSE, A level, HND, and on the Foundation degree programmes for Applied sciences. furthermore I have taught on Access to Health Science programms biochemistry. In addition I have tutored students privately for about 30 years and they have successfully progressed to university programmes such as Medicine, Dentistry, Biomedical sciences to mention a few. In my teaching career to date I have held a number of management positions including being the Head of Chemistry, Head of Science, Programme Manager on the Access to Health Sciences and as a Head of Year for A levels. I inspire my students to be resilient, motivated and highly ambitious!

I am able to cater for the individual needs of the student by helping them with any level of difficulty and being able to explain concepts in the most simplistic ways to ensure understanding. I am very supportive and boost my students confidence and a love for chemistry with a 'can do' attitude! I am very passionate about teaching and will give all the help needed!
Although chemistry is my main subject specialism I also teach Physics and biology to GCSE and Combined Science to younger students. My teaching strategies use a variety of methods for learning and I fully integrate the use of IT.
