History is arguing with the past by way of primary sources. Forming original thoughts and comprehension in historical anaylsis depends on whether you are taught cognition tactics that allow you to think for yourself, instead of just memorizing dates and names. This premise of teaching students to become independent learners is my focus and passion. I have shown this through my undergraduate and graduate programs, the National History Honor Society and continuing historical research towards further publications. History does not have to be difficult and when it is taught right, the past comes alive illuminating the past, present and future. I have a Masters in History and graduated near the top of my class and would love to give you the gift of understanding and interpreting history, not only to get a grade, but to inspire future historians.
