I hold a M.S. and B.S. in Physics. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Applied Science and Engineering at Western Michigan University. Throughout my undergraduate and master’s programs, I have had the opportunity to be teaching assistant for math, physics and computer science courses. Since beginning my PhD I have transitioned to teaching courses. I have taught introductory college courses in computer science, physics and electrical engineering as well as upper level college courses for electrical engineering. I was recently awarded the All University Graduate Teaching Effectiveness Award in recognition of my achievements in the courses I have taught. My teaching philosophy focuses on encouraging students to discover the answer to questions through their own critical thinking process, while providing the necessary guidance to help them reach the correct answer.
