I am passionate about learning new information by exploring the world around me. I make it my goal as a teacher to create a ‘spark’ for curiosity that helps foster lifelong learning. I received my BA from Indiana University and my MA from Universitaet Heidelberg in Germany. In addition to earning my TEFL certification, I was a Teach for America corps member, where I became a licensed teacher in Tennessee. After two years of teaching in the USA, I moved to Beijing, China where I taught Mandarin-speaking students from first to sixth grade. I spent another two years in Hong Kong SAR teaching fifth grade homeroom students math, science, STEM, English, and social studies. I also have experience with leading school-wide charity events, cultural events, soccer club, environment club, creative writing club, and leading elementary student council.
