My formal education includes an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from India, a MS in power systems engineering (Tulane) and a MS in robotic control (Purdue). I also have a masters degree in education policy (California State University).
I have used applied mathematics in engineering research for many years. Now I teach mathematics.
I love pure logic and its inner beauty. While its simplicity captivates me, its reach challenges me. I can't wait to get up and start thinking about solving problems.
If I were to be left stranded on an island, I would hope for three things: health, shelter, and an opportunity to do mathematics. I have discovered self study is the best way to learn mathematics. It is better to consult the classics and use them to learn mathematics. They are the best teacher and offer no compromises.
