I've lived in the US for over 20 years and am currently based in Atlanta, GA. I'm TEFL-certified and have an MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the UGA.
Born in Peru, my parents immigrated when I was young. Being exposed to both English and Spanish throughout my childhood has given me a natural fluency. In fact, I remember my parents constantly asking me for help with their English!
My teaching background is mainly volunteer work with migrants and refugees. I am an assistant teacher/tutor with IRC in Atlanta, helping with ESL classes and doing 1-on-1 tutoring on a variety of subjects, including English, Math, Science, and GED prep.
During my graduate studies, I was a teaching assistant for an anatomy and physiology lab. I am a capable tutor for college-level science or pre-health courses such as general/organic chemistry, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, and cell biology.
