About Fiona

Hello. I am an experienced teacher and tutor having worked in London and Bangkok I have experience teaching children from all over the world. I teach all subjects to Primary aged children but have also specialised as a Maths Teacher with 6 - 13 years old. I have experience one-to-one tutoring in London for grammar school 11+ exams as well as general Maths tuition. I am passionate about fun interactive learning and getting to know your child to match the lessons to their unique learning style. I teach to a growth mindset as I firmly believe children have no fixed potential so facilitate a can-do attitude and not being afraid to take risks in our learning. I have proven results and pride myself on facilitating progress. A little bit about me: I enjoy travelling, meeting new people and exploring new cultures; I love keeping fit by going to the gym, walks and swimming; I am also passionate about having a healthy diet but also enjoy a bit of baking.

Specialities

My specialist subject is Mathematics, I've spent two years solely as a Maths teacher so have experience with the KS2 (Year 3-6) and KS3 (Year 7-8) curriculum. I am the Mathematics Coordinator at my current school and I enjoy looking for new resources to make Maths learning fun and interactive. I find the joy of Maths is the step-by-step approach where skills can be broken down and mastered in small chunks.
