I can't even begin to express the degree to which math brings me joy. Those people out there that say they hate math just have not gotten to know it well enough, I promise!
I keep myself busy working as a nurse caring for critically ill patients, but part of what I love so much about the job is that it helps me put math into action to help people. There's math in drug calculations and titrations, it's true. But even more exciting is thinking about the math that is involved in how the body itself functions. There is a beauty in seeing an algorithm in action. And don't even get me started talking about derivitives!
I graduated summa cum laude having received a full academic merit-based scholarship, the Swarthmore College Book Award, Krapf Bus Company Educational Scholarship and the Centocor Nursing Scholarship. I scored 800 on my math SATs and would love to help you do the same!
