About CHRISTIE
Hello! I am a qualified teacher from the UK with EFL certification and a BA (Hons) degree in Childhood Studies. My positive and friendly demeanour enables me to build effective and supportive relationships with children from all ages and backgrounds, as well as my warm and approachable manner. My degree in Childhood Studies has given me a deep insight into child development and I have gained valuable experience applying this knowledge and developing my skills to secure excellent progress for pupils throughout my teaching practice. I have a passion for children's well being and have enjoyed travelling Southeast Asia with my 3 year old daughter and experiencing other cultures. I like to make lessons fun and exciting, incorporating the pupils interests where appropriate to get the best results. I would be delighted to utilise my fun and energetic approach to empower pupils with a new language or provide them with the knowledge to achieve their full potential in any subject!

Specialities
I specialise in teaching primary/elementary school children a range of subjects and have 9 years experience working within this environment in many schools. I have 2 years 1:1 experience supporting children with special educational needs and challenging behaviour and this includes children up to age 16. I also have a 120 hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification and have utilised this within my teaching practice for ESL children. Finally, I have excellent knowledge of mastery within mathematics and experience in teaching phonics.
