About Anna Gabriella

I have been a teacher since 2015 and was the only English teacher at my school for grades 7 through 12 for my first two years, then, I went on to teach ESL to middle and high school students of intermediate to advanced proficiency.
For the last three years, I have awarded numerous dual-credit college credit for Business Communication (WR101) and AP English and Composition (WR121 and EN104).
On top of this, and you might guess it from my very slight accent, I am a native Swedish speaker, but don't let that deter you. English is my absolute passion and, as of February 2019, I am also tutoring college-level English and college-level essay writing which has allowed me to further hone my mastery of English writing, grammar, and conventions. 
I have worked with hundreds and hundreds of students in person and online, and I look forward to meeting every last one of you!

I am an expert at explaining essay writing and complex literary concepts and texts to learners of all levels, from beginner to advanced and from middle school through adulthood, due to the breadth of my experience. I have mastered all aspects of grammar, punctuation, mechanics, and sentence structure, and am strengthening my skills, knowledge, and understanding of creative writing and business communication continuously.

I know how to pace content for learners of all ages.

I have also mastered APA and MLA format, citation styles, and references/works cited sections, and I am highly proficient at Chicago/Turabian as well.

A strong specialty of mine is the ability to synthesize information and quickly learn enough about a topic alongside a student that I am able to go into even a session I may not have extensive knowledge about and be able to fulfill the student's needs, guiding them and helping them to be successful.
