Howdy! I am approaching the completion of my teaching certification. I hold an Honours Bachelors of Science from the University of Toronto where I majored in Human Biology while minoring in Physiology and Psychology. I am fascinated by biology and the natural world. I believe that to teach concepts one must require a depth of knowledge that allows them to explain things in the simplest form. If it cannot be explained simply, you just don't know enough about it. Learning is a process that takes time to achieve. Many are led to believe that they are "good" at this subject and "bad" at this subject. There is no such thing; in fact, persistence and challenging yourself to continue to grow academically is what allows you to become "good" on a subject. What matters is that you remain confident in taking risks and making mistakes; this is the only way to truly learn.
