I am currently in my fourth year of teaching secondary school. My first year I was immersed in a strict project-based learning environment teaching 11th Grade Biology. I then finished my California teaching credential program (single subject, biology) while teaching at a high-needs middle school. There, I implemented a creative, collaborative and innovative approach to my curriculum. Now, I am a teacher at an international school in Antigua Guatemala teaching Gardening, 7th Grade Science, 10th Grade Biology, and AP Environmental Science.
Outside of school, I enjoy walking around Antigua with my girlfriend and two dogs, while exploring the sights, sounds, and smells of my new home. Cooking is one of my ultimate passions and I try to cook at least 4 times per week. Occasionally, I also paint and draw in order to express myself artistically and reflect on my life.
