My strongest quality lies in my ability to build meaningful, purposeful relationships with students. I believe the foundation for successful learning relies on the teacher-student relationship. It is through effective relationships that I am able to create personalized learning strategies. I will apply a relationship based model to each coaching interaction. I believe students are most engaged in learning when they feel successful and supported. I aim to provide imaginative, student-centered instruction that creates a balance between success and challenge. I intertwine relatable topics into tasks and discussions, drawing on student’s real-world experiences. I believe students are able to achieve deeper learning when they can personally connect with the material. I will build upon each student’s knowledge base by creating meaningful and individualized extension tasks designed to deepen and solidify understanding.
